Arthur Read, the spectacular bespectacled aardvark, stars in this children's series about growing up. Typical childhood problems such as bratty siblings, schoolyard bullies and classroom cliques are addressed by this popular program which has been running for 20 years on PBS. Developed from Marc Brown's beloved books, Arthur reminds us all of how it feels to be 8 years old. Just like your average kid, Arthur overcomes the dreaded obstacles of third-grade life, such as his tough teacher Mr. Ratburn, bullies, and mountains of homework. At home, Arthur must also face the pint-sized terror known as his sister Dora Winifred, or D.W. for short. Everything between these two is a struggle; such as who gets control of the television remote, or who can play their Crazy Bus CD. Arthur often relies on his best friend Buster Baxter, a rabbit.

Fritz asks Buster to take care of the community garden for him while he recovers from his ankle injury. Buster has to stop short when he finds out he's going on a camping trip with his mother. So, he asks Muffy, Francine and Arthur to care for the garden for him.
Lend Me Your Ear: Mr. Ratburn has a complete change in attitude, much to Arthur, Buster, and Brain's concern. The Butler Did It: Mr. Crosswire gets a robot butler, but Muffy fears Bailey may be replaced.
Prunella's Tent of Portent: Prunella claims she can see the future, but Marina doubts it. Mutiny on the Pitch: Francine decides to leave her soccer position to Buster when the Lakewood Elementary soccer team claims she is too bossy.
Brain plans on seeing a meteor shower but thinks he is cursed since every year something goes wrong and cannot see it. This year, he makes amends and finally sees it.
When Binky got an A on a test, Muffy and Francine are convinced he cheated.
Brain makes a time capsule and gets overwhelmed by people asking to have their special belongings included. Will he make room for his friends, or will he give them the boot?
Buster has to build a bird house for the Purple Martin. The bird's will steer away the Cabbage Butterflies from eating Fritz's garden.
When Ladonna befriends a new member of the Mighty Mountain soccer team, Francine becomes convinced she is leaking top secret team info.

The Lost Dinosaur: Bud loses his imaginary friend, Rapty, a dinosaur, and becomes worried what he'll do without him. The Princess Problem: D.W. and Emily tell a student the story of a princess and have a substite teacher for P.E. However, when D.W. and Emily show her their tiaras, it is revealed that she hates princesses. D.W. then learns other people's aspects of princesses and discovers what a true princess is.
Invasion of the Soccer Fans: D.W., Arthur, Vicita, Mr. Read, Grandma Thora, and Vicita's father watch a soccer game on TV and Baby Kate becomes addicted to it. This causes a war between the gang and the dogs, since they don't know the meaning of watching a soccer game. Pal and the Big Itch: When Pal goes into a trash can and rolls in the garbage, he gets an itch.
