“Nobodies” stars and is executive produced and written by Groundlings alums Hugh Davidson, Larry Dorf and Rachel Ramras (“Mike Tyson Mysteries”) and revolves around the three as they try desperately to land one of their famous friends for a feature script that they have developed, so that they, too, can rise to fame in Hollywood.
After years toiling away writing on a kids cartoon, “The Fartlemans”, Groundlings Alums Larry, Rachel and Hugh finally get their big break: A chance to pitch their film script “Mr. First Lady” at Paramount.
After lying about Melissa McCarthy’s involvement with “Mr. First Lady”, Larry, Rachel and Hugh’s careers are threatened. In trying to patch things up with Melissa, they only dig themselves deeper with her husband, Ben.
With Ben and Melissa now on board with “Mr. First Lady”, Larry, Rachel and Hugh have a meeting with Melissa’s producing partner, Howard Lang.
With Ben and Melissa furious at them, Larry, Rachel and Hugh try to make amends by surprising them with a personal gift. Meanwhile, Hugh reconnects with an old friend: the beautiful Sam.
Hugh's romance with Sam heats up, which annoys Rachel but intrigues Larry, who discovers that Sam is a successful film producer.
The group gets fractured and turn to another writing team for help.
Larry, Rachel and Hugh perform improv at the Groundlings Theatre.
Larry, Rachel and Hugh are thrilled to finally meet the comedy film director Paul Skidmore, but horrified when he brings along his muse: Melissa McCarthy.
